Butterfly Gardens Abu Dhabi will be a haven for approximately 40 different butterfly species and 2,000 butterflies.

Abu Dhabi's waterfront attraction, Al Qana, has announced the addition of the Butterfly Gardens Abu Dhabi, which will open in 2024.

Butterfly Gardens Abu Dhabi, located next to The National Aquarium in Al Qana, will be a refuge for over 40 species of butterflies, totaling over 2,000, according to a press release issued on Tuesday.

Guests will have the unique opportunity to see butterflies in their natural environment, freely interacting with guests. The bug species will be tastefully displayed within cages along the walk, while pupa displays will demonstrate the live growth of these fascinating creatures.

There will be three different groomed zones in this project: Asia, the Americas, and Eden Café. Visitors will embark on an extraordinary adventure as they tour beautiful tropical gardens inspired by the diverse ecosystems of Asia, Central and South America. Along with the stunning butterfly and bug species from these locations, the Eden Café will provide a quiet refuge with a flowing waterfall, a tranquil koi pond, the elegant presence of white peacocks, and even the option to drink high tea with butterflies.

The magnificent starry night atmosphere, delivering spectacular visits after sunset, will be a standout feature.

The Gardens will also be available for school field excursions, making it a great site for children to explore and learn.

Butterfly Gardens Abu Dhabi is planned to open in 2024, with development set to begin in early 2024. The indoor facility will be climate-controlled to provide perfect conditions for flora and wildlife while also assuring guest comfort year-round.
