As predicted by the UAE's National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), unstable weather began on Sunday (Feb 11) and continued on Monday with torrential downpours across the nation. Cloudy weather are predicted to linger throughout the day, with convective clouds resulting in varied intensities of rainfall, lightning, and thunder over scattered locations.
Winds are expected to be moderate, ranging from northeasterly to southeasterly at first, but may become fresh and strong intermittently, especially with cloud activity, resulting in blowing dust and sand and reduced horizontal visibility, with speeds reaching 20 to 35 kilometers per hour and occasionally reaching 70 kilometers per hour. The sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to be severe to extremely rough at times, particularly with cloud cover.
