Qatar Airways introduced world's first human looking AI cabin crew

Qatar Airways has made waves by introducing the world's first AI cabin crew with human-like qualities. This innovative development will be showcased at the Dubai Arabian World Travel Mart, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage and interact with the second-generation AI-powered cabin crew.

Among these AI crew members is Sama 2.0, a highly intelligent AI assistant employed by Qatar Airways. Sama 2.0 can offer real-time assistance to travelers, answering queries about flying with Qatar Airways and providing guidance on trip planning, FAQs, and destination tips.

For those unable to attend the event, Qatar Airways offers the option to chat with Sama online through their app or QVerse digital platform. However, visitors in Dubai from May 6th to 9th can experience a face-to-face interaction with Sama at the Qatar Airways pavilion.

The introduction of Sama 2.0 follows the earlier launch of holographic virtual cabin crew by regional carriers at ITB in Berlin. This move underscores Qatar Airways' commitment to innovation and customer service.

In another significant development, Qatar Airways has appointed Badr Mohammed Al-Meer as its new CEO, succeeding long-time CEO Badr Al Bakr. Al-Meer has revealed plans to cater to the high demand for First Class by introducing a newly designed cabin unique to Qatar Airways. Combining elements of commercial and executive jet travel, this project is nearing completion, with final touches being made before its official announcement.
