Compare The Market has officially released its list of the world's gourmet hotspots based on a variety of parameters such as the number of Michelin-starred restaurants, the number of five-star restaurants, the average cost of a meal, and the number of vegetarian and gluten-free eateries.
Venice was rated the finest city in the world for foodies due to its variety of vegetarian and gluten-free restaurants and an abundance of Italian eating options ranging from on-the-go pizza to candle-lit banquets.
Dubai has become a very diversified culinary metropolis, with every cuisine from across the world available, thanks to its melting pot of cultures.
The Michelin Guide honored the city's fine dining scene for the second year in a row earlier this year, awarding 3 two Michelin Star restaurants, 11 Michelin Star restaurants, three Green Stars, and 17 Bib-Gourmand restaurants.
Dubai also offers the second-highest number of five-star restaurants and an astonishing number of vegetarian and vegan eateries, according to the poll.
