Visitors to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will have a plethora of options in the coming years, as the country has emerged as one of the most sought-after destinations for new hotel and resort launches. A slew of the world's largest and most recognizable names in hospitality are preparing to put their best foot forward and usher in a new age of travel and tourism in the Kingdom. The following are some of the upcoming luxury properties. 

25 hours, NEOM 

Opening: To be determined.  

The hotel will be influenced by future design, and the structure will be a "nod to science-fiction movies." There will be an in-house cinema, a farm-to-table restaurant, a bike factory with co-working spaces, and a rooftop restaurant with a pool. Ennismore will run the hotel, which will be located in NEOM's TROJENA skiing mountain hamlet. The colorful and quirky hotel brand is built in creativity and will provide design-focused areas as well as genuine culinary experiences. 

Al Hamra Palace, Jeddah

Opening Date: To be revealed

The Boutique Group is in charge of this project, which aims to convert historical and cultural palaces around the Kingdom into ultra-luxury boutique hotels. The group is owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF). 

In 1971, King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud dedicated Al Hamra Palace as a hospitality palace for the world's most important worldwide public leaders. The palace honors traditional Arab-Islamic architecture. The restored complex will have 32 palace suites, 44 villas, one royal suite, five public event spas, six spa suites, three meeting rooms, and six high-end food and beverage outlets. 

AMAALA’s Triple Bay yacht club 

Date of debut: 2024  

A new yacht club will stretch 7,900 sq m across four levels as part of the AMAALA project and will be the go-to place for partying, business, leisure, and sailing activities. It is located within the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Nature Reserve's Triple Bay Marina. The first phase of AMAALA's Triple Bay will include eight resorts with over 1,300 hotel keys. 

"We were clear from the start that we wanted to create a building of its place, with the design drawing inspiration from local landscapes and culture, alongside the nature of the marine lifestyle," said Dan Flower, HKS design director and principal architect for AMAALA Yacht Club. The team aimed to redefine the yacht club as a contemporary idea, a home away from home for maritime aficionados from pleasure to elite sport." 

Armani Hotel, Diriyah Gate  

Opening Date: To be revealed 

Armani Hotels & Resorts and Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) have agreed to collaborate on the third Armani facility in the world, which will be operated by Emaar Hospitality Group. The Diriyah site, which dates back 300 years, is just 15 minutes from Riyadh. It will have 70 elegantly built rooms, two restaurants, and a high-end spa, with suites having their own spa and swimming pool, giving a variety of wellness, hospitality, and relaxation experiences. It will overlook Diriyah's premium hotel and shopping area. The hotel is linked to roughly 18 self-contained ultra-luxury Armani Branded Residences with enormous interiors, outdoor pools, manicured terraces, and roofs, designed and equipped by Armani. 

ENVI Lodges, Riyadh 

Opening year: 2023  

ENVI Lodges, an environmental hospitality firm, plans to establish a 50-room eco-retreat south of Riyadh by next year. The project will have 50 pods buried amid palm palms that are already on-site. The pods will have a huge outdoor dining space, a BBQ area, and a private pool. An immersive experience garden will be built in the heart of the project for group gatherings and private parties, with an outdoor dining area, an evening fire pit, a chef's garden, a swimming pool, and workshop space for different arts and crafts activities. The wellness center will also include a variety of relaxation programs, a meditation room, and treatments with locally produced goods.  

Jabal Omar Jumeirah, Makkah 

Date of debut: 2023  

The complex, which will be located in Makkah, will be split across four buildings and will have multiple food and beverage venues, more than 90 retail businesses, a gym, executive lounge, and conference spaces. The hotel will feature a total of 1,033 keys, with 96 flats and four penthouses. When it opens, it will provide views of the Grand Mosque. According to recent sources, the property is 85 percent complete. The Jabal Omar Jumeirah development is part of the larger Jabal Omar Project. The project will feature 16 hotels, over 13,000 keys, 40 towers, and a target of two million hotel visitors each year. 

Miraval The Red Sea 

Opening Date: To be revealed. 

The Miraval The Red Sea, part of The Red Sea Development Company's (TRSDC) destination, will be managed by Hyatt Hotels. The resort will bring 180 keys to the Red Sea Project and will be the site's wellness-focused hotel, featuring the largest spa of any hotel planned for the area, according to reports. The 'Life is Balance' Spa will be around 3,700 square meters in size, with 39 treatment rooms and space dedicated to "contemplation and exploration."   

Morgans Original, NEOM 

Opening Date: To be revealed. 

The hotel, which will be run by Ennismore, will have world-class restaurants, a 2,000-square-meter spa and bathhouse, a ski slope roof, and a pool bar. Each floor of the eight-story hotel will have its own microclimate. It will be located in the TROJENA skiing mountain village of NEOM. 

Nujuma, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve, The Red sea 

Opening Date: 2023 

TRSDC has also received confirmation for Nujuma, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve. It will be built on a pristine group of private islands in the Red Sea's Blue Hole cluster. The resort will be surrounded by natural beauty and will offer 63 one to four-bedroom water and beach villas. A spa, swimming pools, several gastronomic locations, a shopping area, and a variety of other recreational and entertainment activities, including a Conservation Centre, are also planned. 

Raffles Hotels & Resorts, The red sea 

Opening Date: To be revealed. 

Accor is expanding its premium offering in Saudi Arabia by adding a Raffles resort centered on nature. For this, Accor has formed a closed joint-stock corporation owned entirely by PIF in collaboration with TRSDC. In addition to a variety of hotel and suite options, the resort will have six F&B locations, a full-service spa, and 565 square metres of conference space. 

Rosewood Red Sea 

Opening Date: To be revealed. 

Rosewood Red Sea, which is also part of the Red Sea Project, will have a marina, a yacht club, commercial shopping and eating choices, and an 18-hole championship golf course. There will be 149 guest rooms and suites, three restaurants, two bars, a Manor Club, and a central hub at the property. Event pavilions, seven treatment rooms, a gym, two movement studios, and a yoga pavilion will be among the additional spaces. It will be located on the Red Sea destination's hub island, Shura. Rosewood's aim is to represent a destination's native culture and personality while also allowing visitors to enjoy the region's historical and natural beauty.  

SLS Hotels & Residences, The red sea 

Opening Date: 2023   

TRSDC is cooperating with the Ennismore brand. The project will have 150 hotel rooms, 12 suites, and 15 villas spread across 800,000 square feet of single-story space. The resort will have spacious one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom pool villas. 

At the hotel, Ennismore will provide premier culinary and mixology experiences. Seabird, Fi'lia, and Floating World are among them. This offering will be completed with the Ciel Spa, a fitness center, an altitude pool, and a ballroom for special events.  

The St. Regis Red Sea Resort 

Opening Date: 2023 

The St. Regis Red Sea Resort from Marriott marks the brand's debut in Saudi Arabia as part of the Red Sea Project.  

The resort will be built on a private island and will have 90 villas. There are also two trademark restaurants, an outdoor pool, a fitness center, a spa, and a children's club at the hotel. 

Tuwaiq Palace, Riyadh 

Opening Date: To be revealed.  

Tuwaiq Palace, another Boutique Group creation, was erected in 1980 and is one of Riyadh's most famous historical and cultural sites.   

After being refurbished, visitors will have access to villas and suites with butler service. There will also be fine meals and exclusive spa services. There are 56 luxury villas, 40 palace suites, four public event spaces, 13 treatment rooms, and five high-end F&B establishments guaranteed. 

The Red Palace, Riyadh 

Opening Date: To be revealed. 

As part of the Boutique Group project, the Red Palace is also being renovated. According to reports, the palace was the first reinforced concrete structure built in Riyadh. It was completed in 1944. It was designated as the Council of Ministers' headquarters in 1957. 

That remained until 2002, when it became the headquarters of the Board of Grievances. The Red Palace will include 71 accommodations with butler service, 45 suites, 25 hotel rooms, one royal suite, seven public and private areas, six spas, and six restaurants after renovations. 

The Red Sea EDITION 

Opening Date: To be revealed. 

The Red Sea EDITION, which will be located on the Red Sea Project's main island Shaura, is set to open in 2023. 

There will be 240 rooms, including one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites. Two trademark restaurants, a destination bar, a beach bar, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and a spa are all planned for the hotel. 

EDITION Hotels is a partnership between Ian Schrager, the company's creative founder, and Marriott International. It will join the existing EDITIONS in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
