Securing fourth place in a global study examining the finest cities for expats to live and work, Ras Al Khaimah has accomplished a critical milestone in its path to becoming a premier global destination to experience, flourish, and belong. 

Ras Al Khaimah fared well in five categories according to the annual InterNations survey for their Expat City Ranking report: quality of life, ease of settling in, working overseas, personal finance, and an expatriate essentials index that covers digital life, administration topics, housing, and language. With the highest ranking in the Expat Essentials Index, Ras Al Khaimah is a city that foreigners find easy to settle into: 78% of foreigners said they had no trouble obtaining a visa (compared to 57% worldwide), and roughly 70% of foreigners in Ras Al Khaimah say housing is both affordable (compared to 38% worldwide) and easy to find (compared to 49% worldwide). 

In addition to Abu Dhabi, Madrid, Mexico City, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and Muscat in the top 10, Ras Al Khaimah came in fourth position after the Spanish towns of Malaga, Alicante, and Valencia. Dubai came in at number 11.
