Anantara Unveils 22-Bedroom Santorini-Inspired Oasis in Abu Dhabi

A new Anantara hotel, boasting 22 bedrooms, is set to make its debut in Abu Dhabi by the end of the year.

Situated in Ghantoot, midway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the Anantara Santorini Abu Dhabi Retreat is inspired by the famous Greek island it's named after.

It aims to offer an exclusive and personalized experience, emphasizing bespoke service and privacy.

The hotel's design features low-lying white structures that will house spacious accommodations with expansive interiors and outdoor terraces offering picturesque sea vistas.

The décor features modern yet soft and neutral furnishings, reflecting the refined ambiance synonymous with Anantara properties.

Guests can enjoy a private beach and an outdoor pool overlooking the sea. The resort also includes an indoor cinema for private screenings, with the option to book late-night movies along with personalized menus.

The beachside cabanas offer custom-made spa treatments, and the hotel provides round-the-clock butler service.

The dining options encompass two restaurants. One will highlight local ingredients and regional staple dishes, while the other offers classic Greek cuisine with an oceanside setting.

An onsite bar will entertain guests with a live DJ until late hours.

Dillip Rajakarier, the group chief executive of Minor International and chief executive of Minor Hotels (the operator and owner of the Anantara brand), commented, "With a fantastic location equidistant between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, this ultra-private property offers exceptional facilities for full buyouts, especially those seeking an intimate boutique experience unlike anywhere else in the UAE."

At present, the UAE boasts eight Anantara hotels and resorts, including the Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi Hotel, with another 11 properties throughout the region. Future developments are planned in the UAE and Qatar, with debuts in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, including a location in the snow-capped mountain district of Trojena in Neom.
